Engagement Ring

An engagement ring is a ring worn by a woman indicating her engagement to be married. Conventionally, the ring is presented as a betrothal gift by a man to his prospective spouse while he proposes marriage or directly after she accepts his marriage proposal. It represents a formal agreement to future marriage.
In some countries, such as the United States and the United Kingdom, it is worn on the left-hand ring finger, while in other countries, such as Poland and Ukraine, it is customary for the ring to be worn on the right-hand. Similar traditions purportedly date to classical times, dating back from an early usage reportedly referring to the fourth finger of the left hand as containing the vena amoris or "vein of love".
In the United States and Canada today it is becoming more common, but still rare, that a woman will also buy her partner an engagement ring at the time of the engagement. These may be called male engagement rings or man-gagement rings, which is a portmanteau of "man" and "engagement ring". This practice is more common in other countries.
Before agreeing to marry, a couple may choose to buy and wear pre-engagement rings, also called promise rings. After marrying, the couple may wear both engagement rings and wedding rings, or just their wedding rings, as they prefer.

Body Care

As mentioned earlier, all you need to make body lotion is a skin nourishing oil and pure water. The emulsifier will help you create a more professional product, but you do not even need this if it does not bother you to shake up your moisturizer before applications. However, emulsifiers often have a second benefit that may make a trip to the store worthwhile. They also have preservative qualities that keep oils, which can go rancid over time, from spoiling. In some cases, they can dramatically extend the shelf life of a cream containing fragile ingredients like fruit juice. Before we get into all of the many possible additives, though, here is the basic recipe for homemade body lotion.
Combine a half-cup of your chosen oil and two tablespoons of an emulsifier (usually beeswax) in a microwave safe container like a glass measuring cup. Heat the mixture on the medium temperature setting, checking every thirty seconds until the ingredients have completely melted. Pour distilled water into the mixture, going slowly and stirring briskly with a fork or whisk until everything has blended together. For a fluffier cream, you also have the option of using a stick blender. Just be sure to use a low setting and to submerge it before turning it on. Otherwise, you could splash hot beeswax and oil everywhere. Let your lotion cool down, during which time it will become thicker, and spoon it into a clean jar of your choice. If you like, you can double this recipe and transfer it into an old lotion bottle with a pump or squeeze lid for easier access. Put a lid on your moisturizer and enjoy!

Eye Shadow

Eye shadow is a cosmetic that is applied on the eyelids and under the eyebrows. It is commonly used to make the wearer's eyes stand out or look more attractive.
Eye shadow adds depth and dimension to one's eyes, complements the eye color, or simply draws attention to the eyes. Eye shadow comes in many different colors and textures. It is usually made from a powder and mica, but can also be found in liquid, pencil, or mousse form.
Civilizations across the world use eye shadow - predominantly on females, but also occasionally on males. In Western society,it's seen as a feminine cosmetic, even when used by men. On average, the distance between eyelashes and eyebrows is twice as big in women as in men. Thus pale eye shadow visually enlarges this area and has a feminizing effect.
In Gothic fashion, black or similarly dark-colored eye shadow and other types of eye makeup are popular amongst both genders.
Many people use eye shadow simply to improve their appearance, but it is also commonly used in theatre and other plays, to create a memorable look, with bright and even ridiculous colors. Depending on skin tone and experience, the effect of eyeshadow usually brings out glamor and gains attention. The use of eye shadow attempts to replicate the natural eye shadow that some women exhibit due to a natural contrasting pigmentation on their eyelids. Natural eye shadow can range anywhere from a glossy shine to one's eyelids, to a pinkish tone, or even a silver look.
